If you aren’t reading Captain Marvel you are doing yourself a disservice in my honest opinion. That and Avengers Assemble are two fantastic titles. Check them out if you can.

Sad thing is, I want a Hawkeye movie. Not the movie Hawkeye cause what character is there is not what Hawkeye is to me. TO me Hawkeye is the guy who goes from this

To this

I want a Hawkeye who is dealing with life, the fact he is a complete screw-up. Not only in his love-life but in his superhero career. I want him to not only be a love able goof, I want him to be that guy who can step up and be a leader. I want him to pal around with his friends, I want his to have a Kate Bishop to make fun of him and be his rock and closest friend. I want the Young Avengers to appear and he and the Young Avengers go pal around. I doubt any movie studio can do this since one Young Avengers is a bit hard to do at the moment but also studios and writers only understand how to work with the crazy super power big budget comic book flick. Hawkeye’s movie could never be that.

Instant Midnight sale for me if this is true. I will go see this shit day one. I was on board for Guardians anyway but this is the tipping point, this makes me go all in

This is going to be comic book collection for a while. Minus like a trade paperback. I hope I get a job, I can’t wait to get a job. I hate to stop getting so many good books, plus Gail will be back on Batgirl and I have to give it up V_V.

Huh, a Mr Majystic reference. Didn’t see that one coming.

Rob Liefeld And Deadpool

deemah122:

Rob is a dick, always has been always will be. I don’t think people remember that he created (except that he likes to remind people) until they revisit his New Mutants issue 98 where it had Deadpool and it was shit and it has no merit. The art is terrible the writing eh and Deadpool isn’t funny, in fact it felt like someone trying to write a badass. Well what do expect from someone who created a character just because he wanted to write Deathstroke. No really Deadpool was created because Liefeld use to work at DC before he found acclaim at Marvel/Image and was doing pretty much nothing but all he wanted to do was write Teen Titans and write Deathstroke. When he left he created Deadpool and based him heavily off Deathstrok right down to the name being incredibly similar (SLade/Wade ha), and his writer for New Mutants had to make him a parody of Deathstroke.

Otherwise he has never had anything to do with Deadpool classic, he has only had Deadpool when he was doing Deadpool Corps and he did the interior artwork on Deadpool # 900. By the way, those were terrible too, well the Liefeld parts of # 900.

It is funny that he criticized Marvel for putting D-listers on Deadpool, when he is now less than a D-lister. He is not hired by companies anymore he is inflicted upon companies, he ruined Image and when they jettisoned him they started to turn around.

I am right now going to list off some of those “D-list” writers that Liefeld has insulted with some of their notable works:

  1. Joe Kelly (Deadpool, Uncanny X-Men, Action Comics, JLA, I Kill Giants)
  2. Ed McGuinness (Superman, Deadpool, Superman/Batman, Hulk)
  3. Christopher Priest (Conan the Barbarian, Web of Spider Man, Deadpool, Action Comics Weekly)
  4. Gail Simone (Deadpool, Birds of Prey, Secret Six, Welcome to Tranquility, Wonder Woman, Batgirl)
  5. Fabian Nicieza (Deadpool & Cable, Red Robin, Action Comics, X-Men)
  6. Daniel Way (Violent Lifestyle, Wolverine: Origins, Deadpool)
  7. Christopher Hastings (Deadpool: Fear Itself, Dr Mcninja)

So yeah, you are quite a cock bite Rob. You insulted colleagues, peers and rivals, and most of these people are better writers than you and the people who were pencilers colorists and well anyone involved with those people listed above are better artists. You owe them an apology that I know you will not give them, and even if I did not enjoy their run they have done more for Deadpool than you ever have. The only thing you ever did for Deadpool was create this guy who looked an awful lot like Deathstrok.

So Amazing Spider-Man

I still have not seen it and I don’t know if I want to, at least not paid for. My biggest issue right now is a lot of it has rubbed me the wrong way; from the terrible costume, to the Twilight cash-in feel of the whole deal, my mixed feelings of Sony deciding that the Lizard is no longer a tragic villain but a villain who decides to take over the city by mutating the city into mutants. Plus with no “With great power comes…” speech and Uncle Ben not dying because of Peter using his powers for self gain in the beginning I am just not too keen on this movie. I just can’t get behind it plus the movie just seems like Sony saying “WE NEED TO KEEP SPIDER-MAN OMG” and making a rushed movie. Hopefully when I see it my mind will be changed it’s just I don’t want to give them my money for a product that isn’t close to what Peter (in any universe) truly was.

Plus that fucking costume is ugly as shit, it looks like they took Ben Riley’s Costume and took away all of it’s charm. SO FRICKING UGLY!!!
